ExpiryPal helps you track expiry dates. It is built to work on your phone without an account, and it does not sell, share or use your data for advertising.
The items you add (names, brands, categories, expiry and opening dates, locations, reminder settings and photos) and your settings are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes this data. If you export a backup, the app writes a file of your items, places and reminder settings, without photos, and you choose where to save or send it. The app does not upload that file.
The camera is used to read printed expiry dates and to take item photos. Date recognition runs entirely on your device. Photos you take or pick from your library stay on your device.
Expiry reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No reminder data leaves your phone.
ExpiryPal Pro is sold through the App Store and Google Play. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your payment details. To confirm and restore purchases we use RevenueCat, which receives a random, anonymous app user ID and your purchase history from the store. This data is used only to unlock Pro and is not linked to your name or email.
The app does not show third-party ads, does not use analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
If you enter a creator code, or install the app on Android from a creator's link, the app remembers which creator referred you. That creator's short name is stored with the anonymous RevenueCat app user ID described above, so we can pay creators a share of the purchases they bring in. On Android the creator's name is read once from Google Play's install referrer. It is not linked to your name, email or device identifiers and is not used to track you across apps or websites.
ExpiryPal is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date. If a future version of the app adds features such as ads, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
